This month all eyes are on the African nations as the AFCON group stage are about to take place. Similar to the European teams there are a lot of favorites and a lot of teams that could become the next big Cinderella story. Egypt with Premier league super star, Mo salah. Nigeria with Super Lig star Victor Osimhen, or even Sadio Mane for Senegal.

The defending champions, Côte d’Ivoire have an even bigger challenge, besides defending the title of “AFCON Champion” they also have to make a statement against the world cup. Specifically against the teams in their group stage. This team playing could be the exact same one you see at the World cup so not only will they have more time to play as a team this tournament but hopefully the momentum from that will carry over into the world cup.

The first Match is Sunday at 2pm est with Morocco playing against Comoros.
