Is Jaxson Dart the next New York star?

Metlife Stadium was ROCKING with excitement Thursday night after defeating the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles. But this was not a hard fought game, the Giants won this matchup in all three aspects of the game, with everyone pulling their weight in multiple ways. The defense kept Saquon in check and had Jalen Hurts running all over the place, the special teams limited any sort of damage when possible, and man that offense…

Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo seem like a match made in heaven. The two rookies had instant chemistry once they hit the field together, and continue to improve week by week. Skattebo had his best game of his career against Philly, getting in the end zone on three separate occasions. Dart had himself a day with a pair of touchdowns, one in the air and one on the ground. But the most impressive part about this game was Dart’s ability to escape trouble, keep his composure, and deliver on huge plays in this one.

The Giants in this game were 11 for 16 on third down conversions in this game. Many of which were converted because of Dart’s ability to escape out of the pocket when signs of trouble arose, and still having the wherewithal to look downfield and find a man open. The only concern around Jaxson Dart is his health, because let’s face it, the kid gets hit a lot. He’s incredible at using his legs to make things happen, but he’s gotta learn to start avoiding hits when possible. He went into the medical tent in 2 of his 3 starts already, and has shown he has no fear in him, but eventually those hits begin to add up.

Regardless, he has given Giant fans (and especially Brian Daboll) something they have not had in a long long LONG time….and that’s hope
