NFL Honors 2026 results

After a phenomenal NFL season, the votes are in, and the award winners have officially been announced.

MVP – Matt Stafford Rams

In the closest MVP race since 2003, Stafford narrowly defeated Drake Maye by one vote to win the MVP award. At age 37 Stafford led the NFL in both passing yards (4,707) and touchdowns (46).

COTY – Mike Vrabel Patriots

Taking a team that won 4 games each of its last two seasons, and turning them into a Super Bowl contender will certainly get you some Coach of the year votes.

DPOY – Myles Garret Browns

Not much of a surprise here, after all he did break the season sacks record with 23, while also being double teamed or chipped close to 40% of snaps.

OPOY – Jaxon Smith-Njigba Seahawks

JSN led the NFL and set a franchise record with 1,793 receiving yards. Despite being in the most run heavy offense in the NFL he also logged 10 touchdowns to help lead the Seahawks to Super Bowl LX

OROY – Tetairoa McMillan PAnthers

The 8th overall pick led all rookies in receiving yards with 1,014, which set a franchise rookie record. Along with 7 touchdowns, Tet became a focal part of Carolina’s offense, and had a huge impact in the improvement of QB Bryce Young.

DROY – Carson Schwesinger Browns

The 33rd overall pick, Carson led all rookies in tackles (146) and tackles for loss (11). He was also the signal caller of Cleveland’s defense, which ranked 4th best in the NFL

Comeback Player – Christian McCaffrey 49ers

After only playing in 4 games in 2024, McCaffrey returned to his former self, and led a 49ers offense that was riddled with injuries all year. He started in every game this year, and was 2nd in the NFL in scrimmage yards (2,126), and third in total touchdowns (17), all while having the most touches in the NFL (413).

Protector of the year – Joe Thuney Bears

The 33 year old left guard did not allow a sack all year, and played 99.5% of offensive snaps for the Bears this season. Thuney was tied for first in the NFL in pass block win rate, and was a big factor in why Caleb Williams took 44 less sacks this season.

Assistant of the year – Josh McDaniels Patriots

McDaniels work with Drake Maye this season has been incredibly impressive. Turning the second year quarterback into an MVP candidate. The Pats finished 3rd in the NFL in yards per game with 379.4.

Walter Payton man of the year – Bobby Wagner Commanders

One of the biggest honors of the night, given to the player who has made the most significant impact on their community.
