Predicting the three biggest stars new homes this upcoming deadline

With the NBA trade deadline coming up this Thursday, let’s have some fun and predicting what new team they’ll be playing for post deadline. With sources and trades that already happened, we can get a better idea of where these stars might land.

Giannis Antetokounmpo: Minnesota Timberwolves

As a big Twolves fan myself, I get myself to believe that this trade is going to happen. The Timberwolves had just traded Mike Conley today. Clearing much needed salary to help take on more salary for a trade of Giannis’s caliber. As a fan, just thinking of a duo of Ant and Giannis is so crazy to think about. But in a trade it obviously comes at a cost. Having to say goodbye to either Jaden McDaniels/Naz Reid even both, then Julius Randle is hard. For a player like Giannis tho, you do it. Hopefully my dreams can come to life as this duo will wreck the league.

James Harden: Cleveland Cavaliers

So once again, James Harden wants out of another team. I’m not even surprised at this point but hey it James Harden. The only reason I say the Cavs is due to a report by WindhorstESPN, that players Darius Garland and James Harden have entered the idea they’re going to be swapped in a trade. Although I would be confused by this move. Darius is still considered a young star in the league, but why swap him for an older PG? I get that Garland has been riddled by foot injuries, sure. But this move does not move the needle for the Cavs. The only pro I can say about Harden in Cleveland, is he does bring a lot of experience playing alongside MVP’s and multiple time All- Stars. That’s about it tho. Cleveland what are you thinking!

Ja Morant: Miami Heat

I believe if Miami fails to trade for Giannis, they will immediately pursue Ja. The Grizzlies are doing a full reset after trading away star Jaren Jackson Jr. for a young prospect, vets and three firsts. Ja Morant’s trade value is really low I believe, as he has been riddled with injuries his whole career. So Miami getting a star PG, in which they haven’t had for ages now would be huge. Not having to give up a lot to pair Ja with a great culture and promising core would be great for Miami. They then can think about what’s next as they would most likely keep Herro and Bam. These three could really make some noise in a weak Eastern Conference.
